If you've ever shopped on-line for mortgage rates there's nothing more frustrating then being prompted for all kinds of information so you can be hounded, or the rates they initially show you aren't what they end up being. Well, I have found this great website which I highly recommend if you are in the market for a home loan; www.mtgprofessor.com/Default.htmIt is run by Jack M. Guttentag a Professor of Finance Emeritus at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and founder of GHR Systems, Inc., a mortgage technology company. His site provides a ton of great information pertaining to the mortgage industry and best of all, he provides a list of up-front mortgage lenders and brokers where you can freely shop rates and be sure you're getting what you see. I recenty refinanced my mortgage through one of the on-line lenders he certifies as an up-front lender, which is hows I came across his site. I can say I had a wonderful experience with superb customer service, and my rate and fees ended up exacty as I expected when I applied
